Twos and threes

Split the beat in three: the shuffle, and trap’s rolls.

  1. Twos and threes

    Done

One beat with its hats split in two: even, ti-ti ti-ti. Then in three, with the middle note left out: long-short, long-short. That’s a shuffle.

    Play, then hear both.

  2. Dial in the shuffle

    Done

Drag the swing all the way to the shuffle while it plays. At 66 the late hat sits exactly two thirds of the way through each beat: the beat is in three.

Press play, then drag to shuffle.

  3. Roll the hats

    Done

Trap splits single hats into quick rolls of three. Make a roll on step 8 and on step 15, and add a hat on step 16. Tap an empty box for a hat; tap a hat for a roll.

    3 boxes to fix.
