How to make a beat
- Pick a preset to start from, or clear the boxes you don’t want.
- Press play. The outlined box moves along the sixteen steps; the bold ones are the four beats.
- Tap a box to switch a hit on or off. Start with the kick on step 1, then add a snare or clap on steps 5 and 13.
- Fill the gaps with hats. Hats between the kicks lift the beat; a hat on every step drives it.
- Move the swing slider to make every second hat late, for a laid-back groove.
- Copy the share link. The whole beat is stored in the link itself, so anyone who opens it hears what you made.
