Why we made Swung

Most music courses start with software: menus, plug-ins, a manual. We think music starts with patterns. A kick on every beat, a bass in the gaps, a chord that sounds like Sunday morning. Learn their names and how they fit, and any tool makes sense.

Swung is new, so there are no reviews yet. That’s why the whole of Unit 1 is free: play it, and decide. If you have a question first, write to support@swung.app.

The Swung team

No risk, no tricks

Questions

Do I need a DAW, an instrument or headphones?

No DAW and no instrument: everything plays in your browser. Headphones help you hear the bass, but phone speakers work for every lesson.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Every lesson, grid and project works in a phone browser. Turn the sound up and tap play.

What happens after the free trial?

Your card is charged $59 for the year on the day the trial ends, unless you cancel before. The exact date is shown before you start and on your account page. The trial is for the yearly plan, once per person.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Open your account, choose Manage billing and cancel: two clicks, no email needed. You keep the full course until the end of the period you paid for. Within 14 days of any payment, write to support@swung.app and we refund it in full.

What is founding lifetime?

A launch offer for the first 500 members: one payment of $99 for the full course, including every chapter added later, for as long as Swung runs. Nothing renews. When the places are gone, it’s gone.

What do I keep if I cancel?

Everything that is free stays free: the pattern dictionary, the genre pages, the beat maker and Unit 1. Your progress stays saved.

I make music with Suno or Udio. Is this for me?

Yes. Each lesson gives you the words producers use for what you hear: the pattern’s name, its tempo, its instruments. Put those in a prompt and you get much closer to the track in your head.

Can I use it with a class?

Yes. The free parts need no account, so a class can start at once. For a group plan, write to support@swung.app.
